When Pain Doesn’t Go Away,

You Need a Different Approach.

Targeted, non-surgical solutions for chronic pain, nerve issues, and mobility loss - built around what’s actually causing your pain

Why So Many People Stay Stuck in Pain

Many people associate rehabilitation with recovering from an injury or surgery, but far fewer realize how effective it can be for resolving chronic pain and mobility loss caused by everyday wear and tear. When pain or limited movement becomes part of daily life, it affects everything—from how you work and exercise to how you sleep and move day to day. Too often, conventional medical care focuses on managing symptoms with medications that mask pain rather than addressing its underlying cause. When those approaches fall short, surgery is frequently presented as the final option, despite uncertain outcomes.

At Omega Health Solutions, we take a holistic approach to recovery by treating the whole person, not just isolated symptoms. Our goal is to restore pain-free, functional movement as efficiently as possible - without drugs or surgery. With over 30 years of combined experience resolving chronic pain, we focus on identifying and treating the true source of the problem. We’re here to help people throughout Grand Rapids and West Michigan get their lives back.

Our Approach to Pain Relief

  • Consultation & Assessment

We begin with a comprehensive consultation to identify what’s actually driving your pain - not just where it hurts. Pain is often the result of dysfunction elsewhere in the body, and treating the wrong area leads to short-term results at best.

  • Personalized Treatment Plan
Based on your assessment, we create a customized plan using the most effective evidence-based therapies for your specific condition, goals, and lifestyle. No generic protocols. No one-size-fits-all programs

  • Targeted, Non-Surgical Therapy
Your care focuses on helping your body heal and move better without relying on medications, injections, or unnecessary procedures. The goal is to restore function while reducing pain and inflammation at the source.

  • Measurable Improvement
We track your progress and adjust care as needed to help you regain strength, mobility, and confidence in movement as efficiently and safely as possible.

Pain Doesn’t Always Fit Neatly Into One Category

Many people experience pain in more than one area, or symptoms that overlap and change over time. That’s completely normal. While pain may show up in a specific joint, muscle, or nerve, the underlying cause is often more complex.

Below are some of the most common conditions we help with—but you don’t need a diagnosis, or for your pain to match a specific label, to take the next step.

Common Pain Conditions We Treat

Sciatic & Back Pain

When pain starts traveling instead of staying put

Low back pain often begins as stiffness or aching in the lower spine, then progresses into sharp pain, tightness, or discomfort that radiates into the hip, glute, or down the leg. Sciatic symptoms like burning, tingling, or shooting pain can make sitting, standing, or walking feel unpredictable - and once it starts, it rarely resolves with rest alone.

Why back pain and sciatica keep returning

Back pain isn’t always caused by a single disc or nerve. Poor spinal mobility, muscle imbalances, prolonged sitting, past injuries, or altered movement patterns can continually irritate the nervous system. When care focuses only on pain relief, injections, or temporary rest, the underlying stress on the spine often remains - leading to flare-ups that come and go.

How we address back pain and sciatica differently

At Omega Health Solutions, we focus on restoring how the spine, hips, and nervous system work together. Care is individualized to reduce nerve irritation, improve mobility, and rebuild stability - without relying on medications and surgery. Typical treatments may include shockwave therapy and EMTT, manual manipulation, spinal decompression, and red light therapy.

Common symptoms we see

  • Lower back stiffness or aching

  • Pain radiating into the hip, leg, or foot

  • Numbness, tingling, or burning sensations

  • Pain with sitting, bending, or prolonged standing

Knee Pain

When Knee Pain Starts Limiting Your Daily Life

Knee pain often creeps in gradually - stiffness in the morning, swelling after activity, sharp pain on stairs, or a sense that the joint just isn’t stable anymore. For many people, it limits walking, exercising, or even standing comfortably. And once it starts, rest alone rarely solves the problem.

Why It Lingers

Ongoing knee pain is rarely just a “knee problem.” Poor movement patterns, muscle imbalances, joint irritation, or unresolved tissue damage can keep the area inflamed and overloaded. When treatment only focuses on pain relief - rather than restoring proper movement and function - the pain often returns.

Our Approach

At Omega Health Solutions, we focus on identifying what’s actually driving your knee pain and correcting the underlying issues. Treatment may include shockwave therapy and EMTT, muscle activation, knee decompression, and movement-based strategies - based on what your knee actually needs.

Knee issues we commonly see

  • Osteoarthritis/bursitis

  • Torn or strained ligaments (meniscus, ACL, MCL)

  • Post Surgical Pain

Plantar Fasciitis, Heel & Foot Pain

When your first steps of the day are the worst ones

Plantar fasciitis is notorious for sharp heel or arch pain when you get out of bed, stand after sitting, or walk barefoot on hard floors. Many people try to push through it, switch shoes, or stretch constantly - only to find the pain keeps returning or slowly gets worse.

Why rest and inserts often aren’t enough

Plantar fasciitis isn’t just a foot problem. Limited ankle mobility, tight calves, poor load distribution, or altered walking mechanics can repeatedly overload the plantar fascia. When care focuses only on cushioning the foot or reducing pain, the tissue never gets the chance to properly heal.

How we help plantar fasciitis heal

At Omega Health Solutions, we look at how your foot functions within your entire movement system. Care is designed to reduce strain on the plantar fascia, restore mobility where it’s restricted, and support proper healing.

Typical treatment includes shockwave therapy and EMTT, a FDA approved treatment for planta fasciitis. The goal is to help you walk comfortably again - without relying on ongoing inserts, medications, or injections.

Signs we commonly see with plantar fasciitis

  • Sharp heel pain, especially with first steps in the morning

  • Pain after prolonged standing or walking

  • Tightness in the calves or Achilles

  • Discomfort when barefoot or on hard surfaces

Hip Pain

When sitting, walking, or standing up shouldn’t hurt - but does

Hip pain often shows up as deep aching in the groin, outer hip, or glute, or as sharp discomfort when standing up from a chair, climbing stairs, or walking longer distances. Some people feel tightness and stiffness, others feel catching or pain that radiates into the thigh or lower back. Either way, it slowly changes how you move - and not in a good way.

Why hip pain is rarely just a “hip issue”

The hip sits at the crossroads of the lower back, pelvis, and legs. Limited mobility, muscle imbalances, prolonged sitting, past injuries, or altered walking patterns can overload the joint and surrounding tissues. When care focuses only on calming pain at the hip itself, the forces causing irritation often remain - allowing symptoms to linger or return.

How we address hip pain

At Omega Health Solutions, we evaluate how your hips work within your entire movement system. Care is personalized to restore mobility, improve joint mechanics, and reduce unnecessary strain. Typical treatments may include shockwave therapy and EMTT, decompression, and manual manipulation.

  • Pain with sitting, standing, or walking

  • Stiffness or reduced range of motion

  • Groin, outer hip, or glute pain

Shoulder Pain

When shoulder pain limits how you move

Shoulder pain often shows up during everyday movements—reaching overhead, lifting objects, fastening a seatbelt, or trying to sleep on your side. What may start as occasional discomfort can turn into persistent pain, weakness, or limited range of motion that interferes with daily tasks and quality of life.

Why shoulder pain keeps coming back

Ongoing shoulder pain is rarely caused by one isolated issue. Poor posture, repetitive use, past injuries, or restricted movement in the neck or upper back can place constant strain on the shoulder joint. Over time, this leads to inflammation, tissue irritation, and instability that don’t fully resolve with rest, injections, or simply “taking it easy.”

How We Address Shoulder Pain

At Omega Health Solutions, we look beyond the painful area to identify what’s actually stressing the shoulder. Treatment is customized to improve joint mechanics, restore proper movement patterns, and reduce irritation. Typical treatments may include shockwave therapy and EMTT. The goal isn’t temporary relief - it’s helping your shoulder move and function the way it should again.

Shoulder issues we commonly see

  • Rotator cuff injuries

  • Frozen shoulder

  • Tendonitis or bursitis

  • Post surgical pain

Tennis Elbow

When gripping, lifting, or twisting becomes painful

Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) often shows up as aching or sharp pain on the outside of the elbow, especially during gripping, lifting, shaking hands, or repetitive arm movements. Many people also notice weakness in the forearm or pain that travels down the arm, making everyday tasks uncomfortable and frustrating.

Why tennis elbow doesn’t heal on its own

Despite the name, tennis elbow is rarely caused by sports. It’s most often the result of repetitive strain, overuse, or poor movement patterns that overload the forearm tendons. Over time, this leads to tissue breakdown and irritation that doesn’t fully resolve with rest, braces, or anti-inflammatory medications alone.

How we address tennis elbow at the source

At Omega Health Solutions, we focus on correcting the underlying stress placed on the elbow rather than just calming the pain. Care is tailored to improve tissue health, reduce strain, and restore proper movement through the elbow, forearm, and surrounding joints. Typical treatment includes shockwave therapy and EMTT, a FDA approved treatment for tennis elbow.

  • Pain with gripping, lifting, or twisting

  • Forearm weakness

  • Tenderness around the elbow

Neuropathy

When Nerve Pain Controls Your Day

Neuropathy often shows up as burning, tingling, numbness, pins-and-needles sensations, or sharp nerve pain - most commonly in the feet, legs, or hands. For many people, it interferes with walking, balance, sleep, and everyday comfort, and symptoms tend to worsen over time rather than improve on their own.

Why neuropathy often becomes chronic

Neuropathy often shows up as burning, tingling, numbness, pins-and-needles sensations, or sharp nerve pain—most commonly in the feet, legs, or hands. For many people, it interferes with walking, balance, sleep, and everyday comfort. Symptoms often worsen over time rather than improving on their own.

How we approach neuropathy

At Omega Health Solutions, we take a comprehensive, non-surgical approach to neuropathy by addressing the factors that affect nerve health, circulation, and tissue recovery. Typical treatments for neuropathy may include shockwave therapy and EMTT, red light therapy, nutritional guidance, decompression and nerve activation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a diagnosis or referral to get started?

No. You don’t need a diagnosis, imaging, or a referral to schedule a consultation. Many people come in without clear answers, and part of our process is identifying what’s actually driving your pain and movement limitations.

What types of pain do you help with?

We help people with a wide range of pain conditions, including back pain, joint pain, nerve-related pain, and mobility issues caused by injury, overuse, or chronic stress on the body. If your pain is limiting how you move or live, it’s worth a conversation.

Is this physical therapy or chiropractic care?

It’s neither in the traditional sense. While both do serve their purpose, often times conditions require more. Chiropractic adjustments might be integrated into your plan as determined in your assessment and condition. Care is personalized based on what your body needs, not a preset protocol.

Will I need injections, medications, or surgery?

Our approach focuses on non-surgical, drug-free care whenever possible. We work to improve movement, reduce irritation, and support healing without relying on injections or medications. If something is outside our scope, we’ll be honest about that.

How many visits will I need?

That depends on your condition, how long you’ve been dealing with pain, and how your body responds to care. During your consultation, we’ll outline a clear plan and expectations so you understand what recovery may look like for you.

What if I’ve tried other treatments without success?

Many people come to us after trying other approaches that focused on temporary relief. Our program is designed to look deeper at movement patterns, joint mechanics, and contributing factors that often get overlooked. Trying something different is often the turning point.

Is this right for chronic pain, or only recent injuries?

Both. We work with people dealing with long-standing pain as well as those with more recent injuries. Chronic pain often requires a different approach than acute injuries, and that’s where individualized care matters most.

What happens during the consultation?

Your consultation includes a detailed conversation about your symptoms, history, and goals, along with a movement and function assessment. From there, we’ll explain what’s likely contributing to your pain and whether our program is a good fit for you.

How do I get started?

The first step is scheduling a consultation. From there, we’ll help you understand your options and decide on the best next step - without pressure.
